I took this picture of Hammons Tower, the skyline for Springfield on Saturday night, I was there the night before and saw that this would be a great photo op; I went back and got a picture Saturday. This is a type of photography called HDR, it’s a combination of more than one exposure combined using a software called photomatix. It can give a realistic looking photo that shows both the highlights and what is in shadow, making the photo seem more like what the human eye sees. This photo has been processed further and makes it seem like an animation or computer rendition. The street lights have a star effect because I made the aperture smaller; meaning the number on the aperture setting is larger.
Don't forget to come to the Seymour Photography show on October 20th and 21st and see some of my photos that will be on display, and some pictures from other people, whom I think will be great competition this year.
